‘Some of the most exciting and energising work in oils I’ve seen since my early days at Art School in the 1490s!

ELP has absolutely captured the NOW but done it with the flawless technique of a Classicist’

-Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen

Fusing oil paint with the 21st Century and making it pulse! Some have called elp ‘one of the most exciting figurative artists on the planet’ The contemporary artist’s large scale canvases explores metaphysical notions of energy, sensation, touch, sensuality, intense emotion and re-wilded playfulness on her large-scale, celestial, otherworldly and intensely intimate oil paintings. Energy is everything.

After graduating with a fine art degree in 2005, elp moved to Umbria in Italy, where her love of figurative painting blossomed at a studio once used by the High Renaissance painter Raphael. She went on to hold a solo exhibition of 38 portraits at the Watts Gallery and appear as a contestant on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year, where she painted the film star Richard E. Grant. The iconic Paint-Play series continues to inspire collectors the world over. Her work is owned by British Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies & Presenter Davina McCall. The contemporary painter showcased her monumental Afterglow series at the grand opening of brand-new Castle Fine Art’s flagship gallery in Mayfair 2019. The Poke series, through out the pandemic, gave a tongue in cheek commentary to collectors across the globe to the taboo of touch. LUX, a cutting edge interactive light, technology, flow state experience for her local community paved the way for her future interest into the experiential. Coming out of Lockdown, 2022 sees uplifting collection Ékstasis make waves with a solo show at St. Christopher’s Place, London. You may have seen her painting ‘Become’ on buses, billboards and train stations around the UK as she lead The University of Winchester’s 2023 recruitment campaign, their most successful to date; and on the London underground with ‘Canon’ during Frieze. Published work can be seen at Castle Fine Art galleries and online.

Often censored but never quietened, striding forward elp asks the question ‘We all sit at the disillusioned intersection of the Next-Era as we search for our ‘New Compass’ ..what if we could capture/emit/evoke further intensity of feeling a step beyond classical art norms?’ ..as she uses technology, light, motion tracking, resonance, neuro hormones to imbibe the energetic vibrations of the complete 21C psyche. ‘What if we were not censored and our new renaissance celebrated our beautiful bodies and deep emotions without shame?” Unifying our deliciously-undeniable DARKNESS & tantalising LIGHT to resonate a frequency of spirit as we stride into the now-next…. watch this space
